Airfare to Maringa, Brazil
Maringa is a city in southern Brazil, the third largest city in the state of Paraná. It was founded in 1947. Despite being a “young” city, it doesn’t lack things to do. Maringa is also a popular stop among those who plan to visit the Iguaçu Falls or Sao Paulo.
The city is served by Maringá – Sílvio Name Júnior Regional Airport (MGF) which is located 12 km from downtown. The airlines serving the airport are: Azul, Gol Linhas Aereas, Pantanal, TAM Linhas Aereas, Sol Linhas Aéreas and TRIP. They offer connections to several Brazilian cities located close by.
The cheapest and easiest way to get to Maringa is via Sao Paulo. Direct flights are offered by Gol Linhas Aereas. It is slightly more expensive to fly into Maringa via Rio de Janeiro. However, you should consider the overall cost of the flight. Depending on your city of departure, you can choose either of them.
If you fly from London it is slightly cheaper to fly into Sao Paulo than into Rio de Janeiro. Iberia and KLM offer the best rates but American Airlines also flies from London into Brasil. If you fly from the US (New York), it is cheaper to fly into Rio de Janeiro than into Sao Paulo. US Airways offers the best rates.
In order to save some money on flights, make sure to book your ticket in advance. Also, keep your eyes open and use the deals available. Avoid flying during the weekends.
