Airfare to Porto Velho, Brazil
Porto Velho is the capital of the Rondônia state, Brazil. It is a young city with nothing significant to offer. No stunning architecture, no history. Some shops which are rather dull and no tourism infrastructure either. In short, if you want to escape the typical vacation setting, rent a car and explore the area.
The city is served by an airport which receives flights from other Brazilian large cities. TAM Linhas Aereas and Gol offer flights to the large cities and Ocean Air, Rico and TAVJ offer flights to the smaller cities close by.
The cheapest connection is via Brasilia on TAM Linhas Aereas. If you choose to arrive via Sao Paulo it is slightly more expensive. However, overall, it does depend a lot on the country you fly from.
If you fly from the US (New York) into Sao Paulo you can choose one of the following airlines: Avianca Aerovias, Copa Airlines, or United, but if you fly into Brasilia you can choose among TAM, US Airways and United. If you fly from Europe (London) into Sao Paulo you can choose among SWISS, TAP Portugal and Iberia and if you fly into Brasilia you can choose Air France.
Book your ticket in advance and make sure to avoid flying over the weekend. If you can use the saved miles to save on your ticket, do so. And always check the airlines’ special deals.
