Airfare to Santa Maria, Brazil
Santa Maria is known as the heart of the Rio Grande do Sul, a state located in southern Brazil. It is well known for the many universities and colleges. It is also a very popular religious center.
The city is served by an airport and it receives flights from various Brazilian cities, including Sao Paulo, Brasilia and Rio de Janeiro. TAM Linhas Aereas is the only airline providing flights.
The cheapest connection is via Sao Paulo but depending on where you fly from, it might be just as expensive (or cheaper) to arrive via Rio de Janeiro. If you fly from the US (New York) into Sao Paulo you can choose one of the following airlines: Avianca Aerovias, Copa Airlines, or United, while if you fly from Europe (London) you can choose among SWISS, TAP Portugal and Iberia.
Do remember that sometimes it’s cheaper to take an indirect flight than a direct one. It’s also cheaper to fly during the weekdays and avoid the major Catholic holidays. Make sure to book your ticket in advance.
