Airfare to Piura, Peru
Piura is located in northwestern Peru and although a bit crowded it retains an interesting aura which appeals to tourists. The biggest attraction is La Esmeralda beach (also known as Colan beach). Piura is also a great place to enjoy some Peruvian cuisine. The climate is pleasant year round but the rainiest months are February to April.
Piura is home to a stunning mestizo culture (the oldest in South America), which is mostly famous for the cuisine, drinks and crafts. The seafood is a big part of this culture’s cuisine.
The city is served by an airport which receives flights from Chiclayo and Lima. The only airline flying between the two cities and Piura is LAN Peru. It is twice as expensive to fly from Chiclayo than from Lima. Besides, the flight from Lima is a direct one.
In order to save money you should look into finding the cheapest ticket into Lima since you won’t be able to save much on the second leg of the trip. Copa Airlines offers the cheapest flights from New York to Lima. If you don’t mind a bit of rain and want to save some money, you can plan your vacation between February and April. Fly during the weekday and don’t be shy looking for connecting flights if that saves money.
