Airfare to Tacna, Peru
Tacna is located on the Southern Coast of Peru and serves as the main gateway between Peru and Chile. Several important monuments are located within the city and an interesting festival takes place here each year in late August. An important archeological site is located close to the city as well.
The city is served by an airport which receives regular flights from Lima, offered by LAN Peru and Peruvian Airlines. There are also flights from Cusco and Arequipa.
The majority of travelers arrive here via Lima. Once they are in the capital, there are several ways to get to Tacna, depending on your budget. Buses are cheap but the journey takes 20 hours.
Since the fares for the flight from Lima to Tacna are quite high thanks to the limited number of airlines flying between the two cities, the only way to save some money is on the first leg of the trip. So make sure to find the best fare when you book the flight to Lima. Avoid the weekends and the Catholic Holidays. Check the offers from various airlines connecting the United States with Peru and make sure to look for their special offers as well.
