Well, November already and that means the start of the festive season leading up to the end of another year. Here are the major events in Toronto for your enjoyment, so enjoy!

  • November 1-10
    Royal Agricultural Winter Fair
    This is the world's largest indoor agricultural exhibit and equestrian competition. There are livestock and produce competitions plus the Royal Horse Show, all in the "Royal's" 79th year in Toronto. See their web site at www.RoyalFair.org

  • November 2-4
    The Travel & Leisure Show
    With nearly 300 exhibitors and in its 16th year, this is a fun place to plan a trip, find new travel products and destinations. Check out their site at www.travelandleisureshow.com

  • November 18
    The 96th Santa Claus Parade
    This fun event starting at 1 p.m. has marvelous floats. Bands from Canada and the U.S. and tons of costumed paraders. Check the official web site for the parade route and other information at www.thesantaclausparade.org

  • November 22 - December 2
    One of a Kind Canadian Christmas Craft Show
    This annual shopping extravaganza features more than 650 of Canada's finest artisans, designers and artists. Go to www.oneOfAKindShow.com

  • November 23-25
    Canadian Aboriginal Festival
    This features an international powwow with up to 1000 dancers, plus the Aboriginal Music Awards, First Nations' art, food, and crafts. See www.CanAb.com

  • December 7-9
    Antiques Canada - Winter Antique Show
    This is one of the largest collections of quality antiques and collectibles in the country with over 100 dealers. For details and venue, go to www.antiqueshowscanada.com

  • December 31
    First Night Toronto
    This is a family-oriented, alcohol-free celebration that attracts more than 60,000 to 14 venues at Harbourfront Centre to usher out the old year and welcome the New Year. See their web site at www.firstnighttoronto.com

    Kensington Festival of Lights
    The Kensington Market neighbourhood has a wonderful mix of cultures. A parade and party celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah and the winter solstice has become a large annual event for all to enjoy.
