RTW TRAVELER PROFILE - Roger Beattie
Roger Beattie left home in April 1999 and hasn't made it back yet. He's bought 3 RTW tickets and has been wandering around for the past few years. His favorite piece of gear is a laptop computer with global dialup. Roger now feels that his life has become a journey in the literal sense and one of the most valuable things he has learned is that travel "is like realising that karma is real and you will reap what you sow on the road."

NEW BOOTBUS WEBSITE
1 VW bus, 4 guys, thousands of travelers, and a very, big, world. The BootsnAll guys are headin' down a highway near you.
Our long time dream of taking a VW bus on the road is now a reality and we've created a website to document the journey. You can see how the idea began, how much work we've done on it (and how much is ongoing!) and where we're off to next.

THE BOOTBLOG
Activity on the BootBlog has been hotting up. The arrival of BootsnAll member and friend Jen Leo (and all of her stuff) in Eugene for an extended stay. And the controversy over BootsnAll's shocking exclusion from the Webby awards in the travel category (can't you tell we're all really miffed?). And let's not forget the visit from BootsnAll writer Jane Dunn.
Keep an eye out for more posts as we follow the World Cup through the month of June. We'll be trying to watch as many games as we can and still be awake during daylight hours!
You're more than welcome to add your own comments if we say something you agree or disagree with. We'd love to hear what you think.

By the way, if you think this is so cool and you've just got to have one of your own, talk to us about getting your own Blog.

But with summer travels, or to escape SoHem winter climes, wherever you're heading try to take in a few survival phrases of the local lingo.
