RTW TRAVELER PROFILE - Owen Whitford
Owen Whitford is a Welshman ditching the civil service for a 6-12 month trip through SE Asia, Oz and New Zealand, South America and finishing off in the States and Canada. He's looking forward to the butterflies of the initial landing in a new place not knowing where you are or where to go and then finding that first nice hostel.

BOOTSNALL IN BALI
Nick has been back on the bike (in a brand new helmet), exploring parts of Bali he'd previously considered not really worth the effort. What he found in Jembrana, western Bali, besides buffalo races, was an area that is almost devoid of tourists and full of friendly locals.
He also managed to catch some photos of President Bush's micro-stop in Bali, as well as meet up with a bunch of travelers keen to explore Bali. In news for people thinking of going to Bali soon, there is also a link to an article detailing the new visa restrictions.

We've also posted details of a huge BootsnAll meeting taking place in Portland on November 22nd. Be there or be square!

The Art of Haggling
Amadeus is a bit salty at some travellers for haggling too much over 5 cents. Other jump in and discuss how much is too much and how much haggling is enough.

TRAVELERS TALK ABOUT...
When you're deciding things about your trip, be it where you stay or whether or not to buy insurance, it can be hard to make a decision. One of the best sources to turn to for help is other travelers. We've been asking travelers a lot of questions lately, and you can check out what they have to say about their own experiences with...
Would you like to put in your 2 cents on any of the above? Email Chris (chris@BootsnAll.com), and he'll set you up.
