RTW TRAVELER PROFILE - Bear Falugo
Bear Falugo took off in early 2004 to take on an around-the-world adventure for a year or two, focusing on Asia. He left his job as a baker in Florida and is letting serendipity (and his guidebook) lead him to wherever he goes next. Bear believes he's better off being rich in memories and experiences instead of money and he has no worries to slow him down on the trip!

If you're planning your own RTW trip, you'll find plenty of answers to your travel questions, and can read tips and profiles from other round the world travelers.

THE BOOTBLOG
Every once and awhile, the BnA crew gets some really neat applications for membership that puts travel - and life - into perspective. Donovan posted one such mini-essay, and some of the other Booties added their own insights. We also get some interesting customer service inquires such as this one, which asked us to please send a sample to Dutch food overseas. On St. Patty's Day, the Portland BnA crew went on a liquid diet of Guinness at the local pub.

BOOTSNALL IN BALI
Nick has been doing some exploring recently, and visited the nearby island of Kuta Lombok for a few days. He recommends that anyone who visits Bali and has a few days to spare should enjoy this island where "the logistics of getting there are easy, there is scattered tourist development but most of the island is untouched by tourism or industrialization. People are friendly and the roads are decent with low traffic levels." Read more about Nick's trip to Kuta Lombok.
Nick also observed some of the religous celebrations that take place in Bali. He attended a Melasti celebration, which spiritually cleanses Hindu temples in preparation for Nyepi, a day of silence. Learn more about the festival and Nick's observations.
Heading to Bali? Nick's added more articles this month, including an entertainment map and a guide to bemo buses.

TRAVELERS TALK ABOUT...
When you're deciding things about your trip, be it where you stay or whether or not to buy insurance, it can be hard to make a decision. One of the best sources to turn to for help is other travelers. We've been asking travelers a lot of questions lately, and you can check out what they have to say about their own experiences with...
Would you like to put in your 2 cents on any of the above? Email Chris (chris at BootsnAll dot com), and he'll set you up.
YOU GOT QUESTIONS?
Well, we're always working to provide the answers. We're developing a knowledge base of answers to the most common queries we receive and a centralized place for the questions to come to means that there's usually a BootBoy (or Gyrrl!) awake somewhere in the world 24 hours a day!
