RTW TRAVELER PROFILE - Keith Nobile
Keith Nobile just came back from the war in Iraq, having never traveled anywhere else in the world. From this experience in the military, it opened his eyes and mind to the world - and possibilities with round-the-world travel. Keith admits there is much of the world to be seen and his goal it to experience as many different cultures as possible.
Although Keith was in a dangerous country, he really thinks much of the world is safe, despite what people and the media say. This August, Keith hopes to spend between 6 to 12 months on the road, not making any plans except traveling and hoping the experience will find more peace within himself.

If you're planning your own RTW trip, you'll find plenty of answers to your travel questions, and can read tips and profiles from other round the world travelers.

BOOTBLOG
If you haven't heard, Sean is now in London, getting ready for the must-attend BootsnAll travel party on June 19, which is already coined "London's Number 1 party of 2004." It is expected to be a major hit. Already, paparazzi are hanging off the sides of helicopters trying to snap pictures of the party location. The Sun and The Daily Mirror are interviewing all of England's top celebrities attending this red-carpet event.
Closer to home, the BootsnAll office is starting to undergo major surgery this week. The framers are ripping off the roof, and Court, Dave and Donovan are going to work until they see sunlight.
Besides discovering a 7 foot boa constrictor in her bathroom, Court has been doing some "quickie travel," jumping back and forth between Oregon and Colorado and Illinois.

Highlighted on BaliBlog, Nick discusses his wishlist for three things that could help improve Bali over the long run. Read more about how Bali is developing.
The latest addition to the fast growing Bali Travel Guide is the photo of the day. With a keen eye and a nose for local culture, Nick sets out to find those pictures that will inspire, humble and to show you all sides of Bali.

Facing Your Mortality
Much like travelers heading to a new destination, is it human nature to travel into the unknown?
This philosophical thread gives you one week left on earth - and you can experience anywhere, anything. What would be the most gratifying experiece before you travel to the Pearly Gates? Would you choose to be in some magical corner of the world or surrounded by familiar things?
Bringing Music While Traveling
There are a number of MP3 players, like iPod, that allow travelers to carry enormous amount of music while they travel. Wouldn't it be great to listen to Toto "blessing the rains down in Africa" as you travled on safari? Or singing, "Aruba, Jamaica - oooo, I want to take you to Bremuda, Bahama, come on on pretty mama," down in the Caribbean? Are iPods and other music devices worth it, though? From battery life to the pain of downloading music on the road, is it really worth bringing a portable music player?
