BootsnAll Travel Network was recently mentioned in the New York Times on travel blogging. Fred Bierman highlights us on the first page, but he got a few things wrong, like our URL and not being up-to-date on our feature set. Although it's great to get some publicity, he should check out these kick-ass features:
- Travel Tags
- Travel Moblogging
- Post pictures directly from Flickr

WHERE NEXT?
New frontiers for modern-day explorers and independent travel
Last Stop: Afghanistan
Once part of the overland hippie trail, Afghanistan was a travelers haven, helping to connect Europe to Asia - part of the Marco Polo Silk Road experience. Back in the seventies before the Russian invasion, Afghanistan was accessible, known for its mountaineous beauty and hospitality, and a great out-of-this-world destination.
Now it's starting to make a comeback?
Yep - that's right, Afghanistan is starting to see a trickle of tourism. Yes, the country is still unsafe, full of landmines, Taliban, and other shady elements, but some foreigners and adventure travelers are headed to the streets of Kabul.
Recently we received two updates from BootsnAll writer, Baruhk Shalev on his recent experiences Afghanistan.
