Caye Caulker Travel Guide

If you are look for the laid back backpacker island for snorkeling and scuba then Caye Caulker is your best bet. It has a wide range of cheap hotels and cheap restaurants. One of the more interesting things about Caye Caulker are the birds. Deep in the mangrove lagoons are home to more than 120 species, many of which are only found here. Conversely, Ambergris Caye is the more the American packaged tourist place, with much higher prices, nicer hotels and a buzz of more activity than pretty much anywhere else.
