What is the route you plan to take/places you plan to visit?
We (my husband and I)are leaving our options open, but the countries we have in mind are Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, Nepal, Europe and the USA.

Why did you decide to take this trip? What got you into this type of travel, and/or influenced you to go?
One evening out with friends we were just joking about quitting our jobs to travel. Then the next day we thought “Wow! This is actually a cool idea!” Started to do a bit of research on RTW trips, and now we are in full swing.

What is your biggest fear about this trip?
Excitement is overwhelming any of my anxious feelings, so I can’t really pinpoint any fears.

Are your family, friends, co-workers, etc., supportive of you? What is their opinion of your going around the world?
Everyone is very excited for us and thinks it’s a great idea!

How much planning and preparing have you done?
Just Enough

How do you think your round-the-world trip will change your life? How do you think it will affect and change you as a person?
I don’t think it will change me as a person, but I feel I will gain knowledge through the journey and the people I will meet.

If you had to sum up your thoughts/feelings about your round-the-world trip in one sentence, what would it be?
It’s awesome!

Why do you think people should go on round-the-world trips? Why not just take a regular old one- or two-week vacation instead?
I just feel for me the spontaneity of a trip like this will be great. Never needing to worry about a schedule to keep. Also not having to rush a million activities into 7-14 days.

What is the biggest myth that people have about round-the-world traveling?
That it is unaffordable.

Why do you like to travel?
To see new places and experience life in a way you can’t while working 9-5 five days a week.

What is your advice for people planning their own RTW trip?
I don’t have any advice right now, but maybe when I get back.
