Why did you decide to take this trip? What got you into this type of travel, and/or influenced you to go?
I’ve always wanted to do this as I have always loved traveling. Now is a great time for me to do it as I have saved some money and found a friend that also wants to do it.

What is your biggest fear about this trip?
Just the usual fear of the unknown and possible problems in some of the places I will be visiting.

Are your family, friends, co-workers, etc., supportive of you? What is their opinion of your going around the world?
All positive but some are apprehensive.

How much planning and preparing have you done?
Just Enough

What are you packing? What do you consider your most indispensable item(s)?
Credit card and an MP3 player for those flights, bus and train trips.

How do you think your round-the-world trip will change your life? How do you think it will affect and change you as a person?
Hopefully it will make me appreciate things more readily.

If you had to sum up your thoughts/feelings about your round-the-world trip in one sentence, what would it be?
Can’t wait, can’t wait, can’t wait!

Why do you think people should go on round-the-world trips? Why not just take a regular old one- or two-week vacation instead?
Guess I’ll have to wait till I come back to answer that, but one of the reasons I’m doing it is to appreciate the places I’m visiting in more than just a superficial way.

What is the biggest myth that people have about round-the-world traveling?
No idea

Why do you like to travel?
Love experiencing new cultures, people, vistas and not being tied down to schedules.

What is your advice for people planning their own RTW trip?
Stay flexible.
