Author Bio: Who Are Jake & Eddie?
I am 34 and my wife is 32. We both had good, well paid jobs in the IT sales industry. Eddie (my wife) left hers last year, she was unfulfilled and was starting to hate her job, to the point of not being able to even go in.

I have just left my job, and we are in the process of selling our worldly goods, furniture, electronic gadjets, cars, etc. We have enough money in our back pockets for a three year trip, backpack-style, with the aim to find our dream. Whether we ever will, or if it even exists we don’t know. The only thing we do know is that we are leaving the UK and never coming back.

I have travelled extensively in my life. I took my first trip back in 1989, I left to travel for six months, and came back a completely different person…3 years later. Even my mother didn’t recognise me when I turned up on her doorstep one Sunday morning. Since then I have taken all my holidays to far off places, mostly independently.

My wife and I got married in the Seychelles in 1996, and have always wanted to leave the UK to settle somewhere warm and relaxed, to start a small business, and live happily ever after. It’s a pipe dream but it’s something to aim for.

This travelogue will be a forum for us to write about our experiences and feelings, something that other travelers can read and see the progress of two people looking for a dream, travelling the world trying to find another home.
