Why Study TEFL in Ios, Greece
Ios is one of the small islands that make up the Cyclades islands, and it's everything you thought Greece would be - and more. From the whitewashed buildings to the insanely blue sky, from the gorgeous beaches to the sun-kissed sunbathers. Ios has a reputation as the party island, so there's always something going on!
The main village on the island, Hora, is picturesque and peaceful during the day. At night, the town's many bars and night clubs are full of locals and visitors alike. On a more cultural note, it's said that Homer is actually buried on the island of Ios, although there's no actual evidence that the tomb everyone points to was Homer's. Either way, it's a good story, and the scenery can't be beat.
Our Ios TEFL Program
Our TEFL course in Ios is located right in Hora, the charming main village on the island. The town is built on the western side of Ios, and the buildings crawl up the side of the hill to create an amphiteatre-like shape. Our office is a 20 minute walk from Hora's port.
Throughout Hora, you'll find plenty of restaurants, shops and markets, as well as a large number of bars and night clubs to keep you busy all day and all night. If late-night parties aren't your thing (or you need a break!), you'll find the town at its loveliest during the day when the bars and night clubs are closed, most of the tourists are lying on the beach and the locals are out. It's a great way to explore Greece.

How Much - Fees for TESOL Certificate Course
- $500 deposit + 920 euros final payment (excluding accommodation)
- Accommodation:
- 300 euro for a private room (all months excluding July, August and September)
- 300 euro for shared room, 500 for private room (July-Sept)
About the School
Our Ios school was set up in 2003. The school's mission is:
- To offer its students the opportunity to acquire English as a Foreign or Second Language in a creative learning environment.
- To help students get acquainted with cultures and regions of the world where English is the main language of communication.
- To prepare students for success in world-wide acknowledged EFL/ESL certification exams (e.g. the Cambridge FCE or CPE exams, the Michigan ECCE or ECPE exams, etc.).
