Why Study TEFL in San Andrès, Guatemala

If it's a real-life jungle setting in Central America you're looking for, this is it. San Andrès is a lake-side town in Guatemala, one mile from the Parque Ecològico Nueva Juventud (The New Youth Ecological Park), a 150-acre nature reserve. The town is relatively remote, allowing you to concentrate on your studies while surrounded by the beauty of nature. Of course, if you need a city break, you can hop on a bus and reach Belize in an hour and a half, Mexico in three hours and Guatemala City in seven hours.

Our San Andrès TEFL Course

Our TEFL course in San Andrès is unique in that it's not just about training you to teach English - it's about preserving the rainforest as well! When you have completed your course, you can stay on to volunteer in an environmentally sustainable project, as a Spanish student, or as an adventurer - or all three. This is a spectacular opportunity to work for an non-profit organization which focuses on teaching English, environmental education and preservation issues, medicinal plants, small animal husbandry and organic agriculture. Even if you only come for our TEFL course, you are still supporting this worthwhile endeavor.
