Austria's capital is often overlooked by travelers in favor of other, bigger cities in bigger European countries - but a Vienna vacation rental will give you access to one of the more cosmopolitan and energetic cities in Europe.
Your options for a Vienna vacation rental are varied - you can choose a chic apartment in the city center and walk everywhere, pretending you're a resident, or you can choose a detached private house or villa just outside the city center which will give you a bit of additional privacy but still give you great access to the city itself. Some allow access to shared amenities like a roof terrace on the apartment building or a fenced garden behind the house, and almost all of them have things like markets, shops and restaurants within easy walking distance.
Vienna (called Wien by locals) has a charming historic center with buildings and monuments left over from the time when the city served as the seat of the Habsburg Empire, and it's full of reserved but very friendly people.
