Many European cities are fascinating and historic, but few of them are in a near-constant state of change. It's not often you can visit a city once and come back only a few months later to find things are a little different (if not a lot different). Most of the Berlin vacation rentals you'll find here are apartments in the heart of the city, so you'll be able to see the dynamic changes taking place first hand and up close. There are also some detached private homes which are outside the city, if you're looking for easy access to city life but a little more privacy and quiet when you're done. Many of the vacation properties come with nice amenities, such as the use of shared facilities like playgrounds for the children and game rooms. Also, traveler necessities like grocers and public transportation are usually close by.
Germany's capital city is vibrant and interesting, and the history you find here isn't always that ancient - which makes it even more interesting. In the years since the fall of the Berlin Wall, it's almost always being rebuilt or redesigned - a new airport here, a new subway station there. Of course, if you'd like to use a vacation rental in Berlin to see more of the region outside the city as well, that's easy to do. Potsdam is a great day trip, with a UNESCO World Heritage park and many lovely palaces. If you're more in the mood to enjoy nature, however, there are more than a hundred lakes north of Berlin in the Muritz region or you can head for the edge of the country where it meets the Baltic Sea.
