Vacation Rentals in Corfu

If you think the words "vacation" and "Greek villa" only go together if you're a rich movie star or something, think again - you, too, can afford a Corfu vacation rental.

Despite the name "villa" that's often associated with vacation properties in Greece, booking a Corfu vacation rental isn't the massive expense you might think. In fact, the vacation villas here are primarily smaller properties - not the expansive, sprawling villas you might have seen in pictures. These properties have all the amenities you'll need, however, some even including access to a shared swimming pool and big garden. With most of the vacation homes listed here, you'll be roughly 200 meters from a beautiful sandy beach and it's only a bit further to the nearest restaurants and grocery stores.

The island of Corfu is the northernmost of the Ionian chain of Greek Islands, and many of the beaches near Corfu Town are rather overrun by tourists and big chain hotels. From your vacation rental in Corfu, however, you'll be able to investigate further and find the unspoiled beaches and the less visited parts of the island. To discover these lesser known areas, you will need to have a car as public transit won't get you there.

You'll also find that your vacation rental in Corfu is a great home base from which to explore both the island of Corfu itself and the surrounding area. On Corfu you'll find a charming village called Roda with a pretty historic center offering lots of different restaurants and a good nightlife scene. There's also a palace called Achilleion on Corfu which was originally built by an Empress of Austria in the 1890s. For the kids (or the young-at-heart grown-ups) there's also Aqualand, a small water park!
