When you hear people wax poetic about the lush green hills of Ireland, or say that Ireland was more beautiful than they imagined, it's likely that they've just been to County Kerry. If you want to experience some of that beauty for yourself, start with a Kenmare vacation rental.
The town of Kenmare is at one end of what's known as the "Ring of Kerry," which is a popular tourist route through the area. It's at one end, but which end that is depends on you - it can be the beginning or end of your trip. Either way, you'll be pleased with a Kenmare vacation rental from which you'll be able to really soak in the stunning views. This is a traditional Irish village, it just happens to be on a well-traveled tourist route.
Most of the vacation rentals in Kenmare are just outside the town center, where you'll be able to enjoy views of green hillsides but not be far away from the restaurants, pubs and shops. There are a few town houses right in the center of the village, in case you want to be in the middle of the action (such as it is) at all times. No matter which sounds better to you, there are plenty of options so you should be able to find something that suits you.
You'll find lots to do and see from your vacation rental in Kenmare in addition to taking in the views along the Ring of Kerry. There are towns, rivers, lakes and beaches nearby which make excellent day trips, if you aren't up for the 110-mile tourist route just yet! Plus, right outside Kenmare you'll find loads of trails which are ideal for walking, and you'll also have the opportunity to test your skills at windsurfing, sailing, water skiing and more. Of course, if you're in the mood to just relax and let someone else control the boat, there are yachts available for charter as well.
