Vacation Rentals in Oregon

Oregon is big, varied, naturally beautiful and one of the few places where you can still experience a little of the old American West. No, we're not playing cowboys and Indians out here anymore, but we've still got a whole bunch of rodeos and ranches. And no matter where your Oregon vacation rental is, there will be plenty of outdoor activities to keep you busy.

From the rugged coastline and mountain ranges of the western part of the state to the high desert and painted hills of the eastern part, Oregon is home to some spectacular natural landscapes. Of course, you can always use your time in an Oregon vacation rental to curl up with a good book and only get up to pour yourself another cup of coffee (or glass of good local wine!), but to really fit into the local scene you've got to get out there and experience some of that nature up close and in person. The state boasts excellent hiking, rock climbing, golfing, wind surfing, river rafting, skiing, cycling, fishing, kayaking - and much more.

With all that physical activity, you'll certainly be working up an appetite - which is a good thing, because you'll find plenty of great restaurants ready to serve you. The state is well known for its love of good food, as well as its contributions to the world of wine, so if you don't start out a foodie you just might end up one. And if you visit during the summer, you can also pick up some locally grown goodies at the state's varous farmer's markets and turn your vacation rental in Oregon into your own private restaurant.

For a cultured counterbalance to all the outdoor activity around you, Oregon's cities offer options like local theatre, symphony and opera performances, a nice selection of touring shows, and even a home-grown Shakespeare Festival in Ashland that's become quite famous. And though Oregon may not have a Rodeo Drive or 5th Avenue, there are charming shops to be found all over the state.
