Manitoba is one of the Canadian provinces located in the Prairies and well known for its agriculture, culture, history and the local's friendliness.
What to do
If you want to learn about the region's history, you should visit Lower Fort Garry Historic site and The Forks National Historic site (Winnipeg).
Outdoor activities and wildlife are also appreciated by tourists. Fishing is a must during summer while skating is the sport of choice during winter.
The festivals are also appreciated by everyone. One of the most popular is Folklorama festival, but The Corn and Apple festival also draws a lot of visitors.
Getting there
Most international travelers arrive in the area via Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport (YWG) in Winnipeg. Those coming from other places in North America can either drive their car or take a bus or the train.
