The largest city in Spain’s Basque region, Bilbao is probably most famous as the site of the Guggenheim Museum designed by Frank Gehry. Bilbao is one of the most expensive cities in Spain, leading to a decreasing population and, more recently, an increased focus on urban renewal and tourism.
