New York City

Keith - Born and raised in and around New York and I seem to have been strapped for cash the entire time. If I can't find it cheap, I probably know somebody that can. I live in Brooklyn and am constantly exploring all five boroughs. I'm constantly looking for new places to eat and explore.

Meg - I have lived in New York State for my entire life and lived in NYC for the past 10 years. I can help people to plan trips around the state as well as the city.

Frank Hamilton - Living all my life in NYC I know every "hole in the wall". I think I can be of help.

Elia - Born and raised in the city that never sleeps... and I've never slept. I'm up on the museums, the trains and the clubs. I love to talk about the bustle so send me any questions and I'll try my hardest to answer!

Zohar Adner1 - I've been living in NYC for 10 years. I can help people experience more than just what's available on Manhattan (though I know a lot about that island too).

Nina Kunimoto - I can help anyone looking to travel on the cheap in New York City. I can also give detailed info if you're interested in studying art or dance here.

José Rosado - I have lived in New York 3 years. If you have questions about NY, you can email me.

Tara Kearney - I grew up in NYC. And I offer a bit of a different perspective by having knowledge of some of the lesser touristed places, but just as rewarding places, like the beaches, small towns and wineries of Long Island. London? I've traveled to and lived in London on budgets ranging from struggling student to corporate expense account. I lived in London and Bristol for a combined year and know the city center as well as South London inside and out from Brixton Market to Clapham Common to Oxford Street and Hampstead. Dhaka? Well, let's see? It's not a tourist mecca and can be quite intimidating, but after living there for a year I can fill fellow travelers in on how to get in the heart of it and how to escape the madness of it all (both very much advised methods to exploring the city.)

Lani - I'm a New York native, having lived alternately in Queens and Manhattan. I'm also familiar with activities and happenings in the nearby northern counties (Dutchess, Ulster/Hudson Valley Region).

Scott Anderson - I've spent most of my life in New York City and would have a lot of information about sights, areas to stay, costs, how to get around.

Kim Johnson - I'm living just across the river from NYC in Hoboken, NJ. Have not lived here too long, but getting to know the area better each week and loving it more the longer I'm here. I'm happy to answer questions about the city and since I know other people here, what I can't answer I can certainly find out!

Jessica Stuart - I've been a resident of Cobble Hill, Brooklyn for 2 1/2 years and have seen this neighborhood (just south of Brooklyn Heights) develop into quite the bustling scene... complete with an extensive array of arts and entertainment venues, trendy shops, antique stores, and new restaurants opened by well-known NYC chefs who'd rather pay Brooklyn rent (one of the main drags here is known as "restaurant row"). Additionally, I know my fare share of NYC hot spots, places to visit, and undiscovered stores worthy of the "in-the-know" traveler.

Katherine Carlson - I work in Midtown Manhattan and live just across the Hudson river in Hoboken, New Jersey. Because of my paltry earnings, I've made myself an expert at finding fun at minimal expense.

Vanessa - I am a native NYC-er and I can offer info about the city, especially Manhattan.

Carolyn Holmes - Have lived in New York City all my life. Work in Times Square/U.N. area. Can be an insider for all of Manhattan, including Harlem, Greenwich Village, mid-town, eastside/westside all around the town.

Meg - I have been living in NYC for many years. I can answer questions you may have. I am also very familiar with the rest of NY State as I have spent my whole life here.

Bill Ligarzewski - I have lived all of my life in New York. I know NYC very, very well and helped to build some of the skyscrapers. I visit and explore all aspects of NYC along with being an avid theater goer. I can travel by all means in and around all of NY as well as knowing how to point anyone in a direction of inexpensive travel. I would also be willing to meet and have coffee with a newcomer in order to help them aclimate to what can be a quite overwhelming City. I love NYC and enjoy talking or showing it.

Anita Culp - What does Brooklyn have that Manhattan doesn't? Trees! And great views of Manhattan. After you've seen Greenwich Village and Central Park with the hoards of other tourists, come visit the outer borough that was once the 4th largest city in the US. We've got a better park, a great museum and landmark architecture. We've got great restaurants at better prices. We've even got a few places to stay. I can also help you with Manhattan and Queens.

Chaz Dreyer - I can give info for the New York City/Long Island area (I live here). Also, very familiar with Toronto.

Alden Kirkman - I love to travel and understand what it's like to be in search of an "insider" who knows what's going on where you're visiting. I lived in New York City for 4 years. I would love to lend my expertise to fellow travelers.

Joseph Ferrucci - I work in Greenwich Village and have explored a lot of the restaurants, shops, and cafes in the area. I can also provide info on my neighborhood in Queens, Sunnyside, which is very cool because it is so off the beaten track.

Jocelyn Ng - I've lived in NYC all my life so I'm pretty knowledgeable about the ins and outs. Right now I live in Manhattan where alot of the action is and I also have lots of friends in New York City so even if I don't know the answer, I'm sure I can find someone who does.

New York State

Darlene Bordwell - I can help with info on the Finger Lakes area of NY state. I frequently return for family visits and am pretty knowledgeable about historic sites around most of the lakes (Erie Canal remnants, museums, etc.) and the latest chi-chi wineries, eateries, interesting towns, sweeping vistas, and doings. It's a beautiful area for vacationing!

Susan Cameron - I can give pointers on just about anything you might be interested in around Lake Placid, or point you in the right direction if I don't know. I'm an avid kayaker and know the best ponds and streams to recommend, as well as some great off-the-beaten path hikes and walks.

Kevin Fitzpatrick - Buffalo and Western New York: With the terminus of the Erie Canal, Niagara Falls, the city of Buffalo, four distinct seasons and our border with Canada this is a lively and historic destination for all tastes. I've lived in Buffalo most of my life, but have travelled extensively and am aware of how helpful local knowledge can be.

Jerid Jones - From the Adirondacks to the Catskills, the Thousand Islands to the Finger Lakes, the Erie Canal to Long Island, and (of course) from Niagara Falls to a little town named New York, NY, I've seen a lot as a lifetime New York resident. I am currently living in Niagara Falls, but am I originally from Binghamton (it's on the map, keep looking) and I have traveled all over the state. If it's worth seeing in New York, odds are pretty good that I've been there.

Megan Van Sickle - Although I do not currently live there, I grew up in Ithaca, upstate NY for 17 years and my family has been in the area for much longer. The geographic history is unique in the world, gorges cut right through the middle of the little city that sits on a hill. The landscape and culture of this secluded little city is incredible.

H. Toby Wollin - Upstate New York is another area which offers a tremendous amount of variety and adventure to visitors and yet is still largely unknown or unappreciated by many. White water rafting? We've got it. Mountain climbing? It's there. Wildlife photography - ditto. Historic sites: Definitely. Expensive - nope. And a tremendous number of sites and activities which are perfect for families or singles.

Jim Curry - A life long resident of the Adirondacks, I have traveled the length and breadth of the 6,000,000,000 acre Adirondack Park. If I don't know the answer, I know who to ask.

Bill Krieg - Lived mostly in upstate New York but also in various other US locations through the years.

Nicole Pressly - Own a small business in Fire Island and always help with tourism during the season (basically May-Sept).

Alexis Danzig - As a third generation New Yorker who is also the mother of a fourth generation New Yorker I know this little town pretty well - but New York's always teaching me new things about itself. There are great, fun, unique things to do in this marvelous city with kids (of all ages).

Jennifer Brizzi - Only a short train trip or drive from New York City, the Hudson Valley has castles and cafes, mansions and places where Washington really did sleep. There's great hiking and biking, shopping and antiquing, tubing and boarding, B&Bing and killer dining in an area that's becoming known as the market basket of the northeast.

Victor Spinelli Jr - I am very familiar with the New York area. I have also travelled extensively to the Middle East, Asia and Eastern Europe.
