At 74 it is hard to know how many more travel years one has, so why not consolidate 3 or 4 trips into one?
That it will be too expensive.
They are used to our travelling, and we don't much care what their opinion is.
Just Enough
Passports, tickets, comfortable shoes
We will likely come back more fit because of not having a car. We acquire new ideas from the new cultures we encounter.
While we have certain concerns about remaining healthy, the prospect is exciting.
Not everyone should go on an around the world trip. Those who are looking for a restful vacation would be an example. If you like to travel, however, you can see more on a RTW trip than you can see on several one-destination trips.
I don't know.
We like to see different cultures and meet different people. We feel that people tend to become less flexible as they age, and it helps us to remain flexible and open to new ideas and experiences.
Don't feel everything has to be arranged before you leave home. Many options are available on site, and usually at a far better price.
