Improve my physical and spiritual self. I guess mental self as well.

Yes and no. Some worry I won't have a job to come back to while others wish they could come a long.

It may provide guidance in my career choice. Presently I'm a bit lost and have only followed exactly what I was "suppose" to do.

Bring it on.
Why do you think people should go on round-the-world trips? Why not just take a regular old one- or two-week vacation instead?
To experience the culture of the people rather than the excitement and relaxation of the resort. To remove oneself from their comfort zone and test their boundaries.
What is the biggest myth that people have about round-the-world traveling?
Its too costly both on a career level and a monetary level.

Expand my understanding of the worl we live in.
What is your advice for people planning their own RTW trip?
Take a friend.
