I am about to embark on my adventure, my trip of a lifetime. Oh, I have traveled before (a lot, actually) and even lived in other countries - but never by myself. I am leaving on September 7, 2000 for two years of living my dream. Okay, this is getting a bit melodramatic but...play along for a moment.
What is my dream and who am I, you ask. Well, let's start with me, I'm Cindy. A bit more, you say. I am a 25 year old (okay, 26 in 10 days) recent university graduate from Canada who finally decided (even after being promoted) that her job really wasn't for her and to just leave it all behind. Oops, dipping into that melodrama again.
I always said that I would travel after university but everyone says that and no one really believes it. The look on my friend's and family's faces when I announced that I had got a working holiday visa for the UK and my plane left right after Labour Day was priceless. But without getting all mushy, it really is what I've always wanted. Two years to work and travel, learn about and meet new people, see gorgeous sunsets and, of course, to drink Guinness where it was meant to be drank.
Welcome to my adventure!!
