"I was trekking through Nepal wondering why people were looking at me as if I was walking funny. I soon realised I was walking funny. It must have been something to do with the combination of countless uphill steps and all the camera gear that I lug around.

But that is the labour of love us photographers have to endure...at least until they find some sucker to assist them on shoots. I remember when I was that sucker...generally it means carrying things, heavy things. But hey, who's complaining? I'm still carrying the equipment but I'm also taking the shots. It is very nice to able to bring back home experiences of travel on film.

There are many, many things out there to turn your head, spin you silly and change your perspective on the world. Watching it through the TV will get you so far.
