Health Issues: A yellow fever vaccination certificate is recommended for all travellers going to Chepo, Darien and San Blas. Low malaria risk occurs throughout the year in three provinces: Bocas del Toro in the west and Darien and San Blas in the east. Chloroquine is recommended except for in eastern endemic areas, where mefloquine is recommended.

When to go: The dry season in the beginning part of the year is the most crowed and hot, but at least you’re dry.
