The majority of travelers come to Anaheim because they visit Disneyland Resort. However, the city has more to offer than just the incredible fairytale land.

What to do

The main attraction in the city is Disneyland Resort with themed adventures and fairytale locations. The place is a favorite of both adults and children and for good reasons: the original Disneyland park opened in 1955 and has ever since attracted children of all ages from all over the world.

But Anaheim is also popular for sports. Angel Stadium of Anaheim is the home of Major League Baseball's Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim of the American League and over the years has witnessed some great events in the world of baseball. Honda Center is home to NHL's Anaheim Ducks and is easily turned into an indoor arena where concerts and other events take place.

Getting there

The obvious choice for the airport close to Anaheim is Los Angeles International Airport. The majority of travelers from aboard will catch a flight to Los Angeles and then take the Disneyland Resort Express to get to the resort. In case you are not heading to the resort, you can book the Los Angeles airport shuttle in advance. If you need to go to the airport by car, you can pay for the Los Angeles airport parking in advance as well.

Besides this obvious choice, you can also choose the closest airport to Anaheim which is John Wayne Orange County Airport (SNA). There are plenty of flights to Orange Count Airport available. If you need a shuttle to pick you up from home and take you to the airport and back, you can book the Orange County Airport shuttle in advance and save both time and money.

Where to stay

Outside the obvious choice of staying as close as possible to Disneyland Resort, travelers should know that there are plenty of affordable hotels in Anaheim. Additional, one can choose among the hostels in Anaheim as well but you should know that these aren't "real" hostels: they are budget accommodations which offer a good alternative for the cost-conscious travelers.
