The Route
In Their Words
Here's what Emma Glen shared about their RTW journey:
Why did you decide to take this trip? What got you into this type of travel, and/or influenced you to go?
I’ve done quite a bit of travelling, but only for a couple of months at a time. This way there is no cramming, I can chill out and have a good look around. I’ve worked with people from all over the world in my job, so it’s only right to go see the world through their eyes.
What is your biggest fear about this trip?
Feeling lonely, missing my friends. Missing my flights. Definately running out of money.
What is your advice for people planning their own RTW trip?
Just do it. Don’t let other peoples experiences guide you. Get saving right now.
If you had to sum up your thoughts/feelings about your round-the-world trip in one sentence, what would it be?
Terrifyingly, tantalisingly exciting.
What is the biggest myth that people have about round-the-world traveling?
Safety – bad things can happen anywhere?
Why do you like to travel?
To experience different cultures, meet new people and bask in lots of lovely sun.
2026 Context
