The Route
In Their Words
Here's what Cecile Bruneau shared about their RTW journey:
Why did you decide to take this trip? What got you into this type of travel, and/or influenced you to go?
It has always been my dream. Now is the time to make it true. The boyfriend, the company, the banker allow it… why not go?
What is your biggest fear about this trip?
None really!
What is your advice for people planning their own RTW trip?
The Internet is FULL of resources. Use it!
What is the biggest myth that people have about round-the-world traveling?
That they wouldn’t be able to leave everything behind and GO.
How do you think your round-the-world trip will change your life? How do you think it will affect and change you as a person?
Going back home will probably be very difficult.
What are you packing? What do you consider your most indispensable item(s)?
Very lightly. I would say the Pacsafe.
2026 Context
- Budget inflation: This traveler did not disclose a budget; early-2000s round-the-world costs are substantially higher in 2026, reflecting roughly 75% cumulative inflation.
