In Their Words
Is this job one that you actually like, or are you only doing it to pay for the trip? I’ll come back if they’ll have me
Why did you decide to take this trip? What got you into this type of travel, and/or influenced you to go? One evening out with friends we were just joking about quitting our jobs to travel. Then the next day we thought “Wow. This is actually a cool idea.” Started to do a bit of research on RTW trips, and now we are in full swing.
What is your biggest fear about this trip? Excitement is overwhelming any of my anxious feelings, so I can’t really pinpoint any fears.
How do you think your round-the-world trip will change your life? How do you think it will affect and change you as a person? I don’t think it will change me as a person, but I feel I will gain knowledge through the journey and the people I will meet.
If you had to sum up your thoughts/feelings about your round-the-world trip in one sentence, what would it be? It’s awesome.
Why do you think people should go on round-the-world trips? Why not just take a regular old one- or two-week vacation instead? I just feel for me the spontaneity of a trip like this will be great. Never needing to worry about a schedule to keep. Also not having to rush a million activities into 7-14 days.
