Conor Purcell is a writer and editor who has founded and edited several magazines, including the independent travel title We Are Here and the quarterly We Are Dublin. He wrote The Dubai 50, the first satirical guidebook to that city, created Wndr Kabul, the first mobile travel guide to Afghanistan, and published At Swim, a book about Ireland's swimming spots.

He has worked on publishing projects for Emirates, the Abu Dhabi Tourist Board, China Airlines and Air Macau. He wrote the Seoul Man column for BootsnAll while teaching English in South Korea between 2002 and 2004. He now works with UN agencies, governments and NGOs, turning climate and education policy into public-facing reports and strategies.
