Best BootsnAll Travel Photos: March 2011

We publish these “best photos” articles on the first Friday of each month, and this month that happens to also be April Fools’ Day. There are already travel-related pranks and funny stories floating around, but we assure you this collection of pretty travel photos is no joke.

Spring has sprung in the Northern Hemisphere, as our neighbors in the Southern Hemisphere are starting to think about maybe digging a cardigan or two out of the back of the closet as autumn is around the corner. In short, that means it’s shoulder season in many places around the globe – and that’s good news for bargain-hunting travelers.

Expensive locations are more reasonably priced during the shoulder season, and although the weather tends to be a little more unpredictable it can be the ideal time to get out of town. Just in case you need some inspiration to hunt for cheap airline tickets and plan a trip, here are our favorite travel photos from March 2011. Click through to the links under each photo for a larger version.

>> Don’t forget to send in your favorite travel photos, too. No matter where you go, it’s a foreign place to someone out there – so if you’ve got great pictures from your hometown those count as well. It’s easy to submit travel photos, and you can submit as many as you like.
